Machine Operative - Cheltenham
12-Hour Shifts (2 Days / 2 Nights Rotation)
Temp to Perm | Full-Time
An established manufacturing facility in Cheltenham is looking for a Machine Operative to join its fast-paced production team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with excellent long-term prospects for the right candidate.
Pay Rate:
Starting at 15.66 per hour, increasing to 17.00 as you progress through structured skill bandings.
Shift Pattern:
- 12-hour shifts: 2 days on, 2 nights on, followed by 4 days off
- Rotating pattern (e.g., 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor high-speed Manufacturing machinery
- Monitoring control panels, ensuring the machine is running at optimal capacity.
- Perform basic maintenance and mechanical fault-finding
- Support product changeovers to minimise downtime
- Maintain strict safety, quality, and efficiency standards
- Record machine data accurately and report any issues
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Good mechanical understanding and hands-on technical ability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent knowledge retention and attention to detail
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a commitment to health & safety
- Comfortable using control panels and computers to report/log stats.
