Maintenance Fitter

Adept:us are excited to have partnered with a reputable heavy industry manufacturing business. Based in Lydney, they are seeking a mechanical maintenance fitter to join the team, on a full time, permanent basis.

The Role:

As part of the maintenance engineering team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure all production and process machinery operates efficiently. Your key tasks will include:

  • Reactive Maintenance: Swiftly respond to breakdowns, diagnose issues, and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Planned Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure the equipment remains reliable and functions smoothly.
  • Factory Operations: Oversee and execute factory startups and shutdowns.
  • Equipment Support: Assist with the installation and modification of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Provide training, coaching, and support to production and operational staff.

The Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience in a heavier industry manufacturing or process environment.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong skills in diagnosing and repairing faults across a range of process/industrial plant
