ALN Base Learning Support Assistant

Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (term-time only – weekends and school holidays off)

About the Role:
This specialised role involves working within ALN base classrooms, offering tailored support to children with a range of additional learning needs. You’ll be part of a dedicated team supporting pupils with more complex or long-term needs in a calm, well-resourced setting, while helping them work towards personal and academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support in an ALN base setting
• Support individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
• Assist in the preparation of structured, personalised learning activities
• Foster independence while providing care and supervision where needed
• Promote emotional wellbeing, social skills, and positive behaviour
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external specialists
Who We’re Looking For:
• A patient, compassionate individual who enjoys supporting children with ALN
• Experience in a SEN/ALN base, PRU, or specialist setting is desirable but not essential
• Adaptable, team-oriented, and calm under pressure
• Access to transport is beneficial for travelling between schools, if needed
