Job Summary:

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers / Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our care team. The role involves providing high-quality personal care and support to individuals in residential settings, supported living, or their own homes. You will help promote independence, dignity, and quality of life for the people we support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily personal care needs.
  • Support with mobility, including using hoists or other equipment if needed.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring adequate hydration.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship.
  • Support with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Follow care plans and record detailed notes on each shift.
  • Support clients with medication administration.
  • Accompany clients to appointments, community activities, or social outings.
  • Report concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals when required.
  • Adhere to safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is advantageous.
  • A caring, empathetic, and patient nature.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, evenings, or nights.
  • A valid driving license may be beneficial.
