Learning Support Assistant – SEN or Mainstream School
Full-Time | Long-Term | Chesham & Dacorum

Supply Desk is proud to be working in partnership with supportive SEN and mainstream schools in the Chesham and Dacorum area. We’re currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join one of these schools from September on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support young learners at the start of their educational journey, especially those with additional learning needs. Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Assisting with tailored interventions in literacy, numeracy, and emotional development

  • Helping implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement

  • Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff

  • Adapting learning materials to suit individual needs

  • Tracking pupil progress and feeding back to the class teacher

  • Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience working with SEN children

  • A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude

  • Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team

  • A flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
