A specialist research services company in the life sciences sector is looking to expand its commercial team with a Senior Sales Manager / Business Development Specialist. This is a hands-on role focused on building new client relationships and driving commercial growth through strategic outreach and consultative selling.

Key Responsibilities- Identify and convert new business opportunities across a range of scientific sectors
- Manage the full sales process from lead generation through to proposal, negotiation, and close
- Build strong, lasting relationships with scientific and commercial decision-makers
- Represent the business at relevant events and meetings to raise profile and generate leads
- Maintain a well-organised sales pipeline and provide insights on market trends and client needs
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction
- Proven track record in business development or sales within life sciences, biotech services, or adjacent fields
- Able to engage confidently in science-based conversations with potential clients
- Comfortable working in a small, adaptable team and taking ownership of outcomes
- Familiar with CRM systems and data-driven sales processes
- Motivated by long-term relationship-building rather than short-term wins
