Key responsibilities

- Coordinate and deliver all lab-based projects on time, ensuring high standards and efficiency.

- Lead and inspire a team of scientists, tracking KPIs to foster a growth-focused environment.

- Manage lab resources effectively to support both R&D and commercial projects.

- Chair weekly meetings to oversee project schedules and delivery.

- Oversee record-keeping, ensuring accurate documentation and experimental planning.

- Support lab experiments, including maintenance of biological strains and data analysis.

- Drive continuous improvement through automation and optimised workflows.

- Maintain and update training records, designing programs to address skill gaps.

- Troubleshoot project challenges in collaboration with key stakeholders.

- Ensure robust lab protocols and SOPs, working towards ISO accreditation.

- Monitor health and safety, conducting regular audits and ensuring compliance.

- Manage lab consumables, equipment maintenance, and procurement.

- Contribute to the development of novel assays and stay updated on industry trends.
