Description
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning.
- Provide detailed financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with department heads to monitor and manage budgets effectively.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Support the year-end audit process with relevant documentation and insights.
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems for efficiency.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should be:
- Ideally working towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis within the retail or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
