We're recruiting an entry-level Property Accounts Assistant for a highly successful, reputable & sought after employer based Chester City Centre.

The successful candidate will in short, provide Account Assistant day-to-day support for the busy & effective accounts team & manage the accounts for a small portfolio of clients.

A candidate with an Accounts Assistant or Accounts experience with a high degree of numeracy is essential, but full support & training in the property side of the role & the in-house property accounts system will be given.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Logging invoices + credits onto system & ensuring they are correct, liaising with suppliers where necessary
  • Completing work orders as & when invoices are received
  • Logging utilities invoices & recharging to tenants if required
  • Submitting meter reads to utility suppliers & arranging bill amendments
  • Reconciling payments & income from the bank onto in-house system
  • Allocating credit notes on both income & expense sides
  • Depositing cheques at the bank

Weekly responsibilities include:

  • Supplier payment runs.
  • Managing arrears for the properties within your portfolio.

Annual responsibilities include:

  • Occasionally assisting the property managers in assigning a budget to a property
  • At the end of a service charge year, checking & amending expense/income reports, performing bank reconciliations & performing tenant reconciliations

Other necessary skills:

  • The ability to self-manage & show initiative.
  • Clear communication & confidence in taking phone calls.
  • The ability to handle challenging conversations while maintaining a level of professionalism.
