Fire Stopper - Batt and Mastic Application

Location: Chester CH88
Hours: Monday to Friday


About the Role:


We are looking for an experienced Fire Stopper to join our construction team working on a block of apartments in Chester (CH88). Your main responsibility will be applying fire-resistant batt and mastic to help ensure the building complies with fire safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:


Installing fire-resistant batt insulation and applying fireproof mastic in line with project specifications


Sealing around pipes, ducts, and other service penetrations to prevent the spread of fire and smoke

I
nspecting and preparing surfaces before application to ensure effective fire stopping


Working closely with site management and other trades to meet project deadlines and quality standards


Adhering to all health and safety and site-specific procedures



Requirements:


Proven experience in fire stopping, particularly with batt and mastic application


Good knowledge of fire safety regulations and building codes


Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications


CSCS card and relevant fire stopping certification
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
