The Situation

A brand new fleet of trains has been delivered to a Regional Train Operator, your job is to carry out warranty maintenance and fault finding at the request of the customer to ensure their trains are performing to expectations.
This is a hands-on position as you will be responsible for making sure all trains are ready to enter service helping to reduce delays and cancellations

The Candidate

  • You must have previous rolling stock experience carrying out maintenance, fault finding and repairs on electrical systems on passenger trains.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical/ Electromechanical Engineering
  • Fault finding experience
  • Able to interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams
  • Use of diagnostic software

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent minimum qualification in a relevant subject
  • Previous experience completing repairs and maintenance in a rolling stock environment
  • Must have excellent fault-finding skills and be able read schematic diagrams
