EL/OL Solicitor

Location: Ellesmere Port
Salary: 35,000-50,000 DOE plus bonuses
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Employer's Liability / Occupier's Liability Solicitor to join our growing Personal Injury team. The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of EL/OL claims on behalf of the Police Federation Panel. We work with police officers that are reporting work type injury claims against the police. You will handle injury claims from initial instruction through to settlement or trial, ensuring that clients receive exceptional legal service and pragmatic advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of EL/OL claims (pre- and post-litigated).
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients.
  • Draft pleadings, witness statements, and other key legal documents.
  • Conduct case reviews and provide strategic guidance on complex matters.
  • Liaise with clients, experts, and third parties professionally and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and court deadlines.
  • Contribute to the firm's success by delivering excellent client outcomes.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor or equivalent experience in EL/OL or Personal Injury litigation.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and claims process.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Client-focused, with a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.
  • Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office.
