Position: EHS Controller/Health and Safety Manager

Pay rate: £37.04 p/h inside IR35. (Negotiable)

Location: Broughton

Role Type: Contract until 07/04/2026 with an extension

Position: Onsite

iO Associates seeks a EHS Controller for the Broughton site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. This role offers a chance to contribute to innovative projects within a dynamic team shaping the future of aviation and space systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide competent EHS advice across strategic projects, ensuring compliance with legal requirements such as CDM Regulations 2015 and the Building Safety Act.
  • Conduct EHS inspections, incident investigations, and implement corrective actions for both internal teams and service providers.
  • Support FMRE operations by managing risk controls, reviewing contractor safety systems, and overseeing equipment compliance and maintenance.
  • Promote EHS culture across all levels through training, KPI reporting, awareness campaigns, and induction programs.

Skills

  • Advise on EHS compliance for strategic projects, including CDM 2015 and Building Safety Act.
  • Lead EHS inspections, investigations, and corrective action implementation.
  • Manage FMRE risk controls and contractor safety assessments.
  • Drive EHS culture through training, reporting, and awareness initiatives.
