Job Description

Resourcery Group are recruiting on behalf of the UK subsidiary of a leading, $multi-billion turnover, US global manufacturing business which operates across 6 key sectors.  The business is constantly growing, both organically and via acquisition and, as such, can offer exciting career development opportunities around the world, especially-so within the finance department.

The UK subsidiary is a world leading manufacturer of specialised equipment and turns over approximately €40m. There are about 100 employees in the UK business and many are long-serving and passionate about the business.  Due to an internal reshuffle the business are now on the hunt for a new Site Head of Finance; the UK #1.  This is a key role within a highly respected business, and it could be a great fit for someone who wants a senior leadership role in a global business.  Being US-owned, Group reporting is key and as such they are looking for those with strong experience of US GAAP and SOx compliance.  Manufacturing experience is also a nice-to-have.

As the UK finance lead, you’ll oversee the global business, manage SOX compliance, and ensure accurate financial reporting. You’ll lead a small but seasoned team and be responsible for managing key financial functions like forecasting, budgeting, and month-end closing. A strong understanding of manufacturing processes—specifically inventory, and overhead rates—would be helpful, but isn’t essential.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the overall business objectives
  • Oversee the financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Manage cash flow, financial risk, and financial investments
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management
  • Lead and develop the finance team

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Experience in U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance
  • Manufacturing experience with a decent understanding of financial reporting, inventory management/overheads etc
  • Prior UK controlling experience and team management

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role with occasional travel required (opportunity to work 1 or 2 days remotely after probation)
