Astute's Power Team are currently recruiting for 3x C&I Commissioning Technician positions for their Waste to Energy project in Chester, Cheshire on a contract basis for 8 months.
The 3x C&I Commissioning Technician positions come with a day rate from 400.00 to 450.00 outside of IR35.
Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:
- Updating and maintaining maintenance records within the internal systems.
- Requiring the minimum of supervision, you will be highly self-motivated, having a can-do attitude with an eye for identifying and recommending maintenance improvement opportunities
- Actively contribute to the safe, efficient and cost-effective running of the Waste to Energy project.
- Developing knowledge of Control Systems once set up.
- Required to work at height and work in confined spaces.
- Able to work with Computers with sound knowledge of the suite of Microsoft Office products
- Flexible approach to hours of work, particularly during plant outages when weekends, nights and bank holidays will have to be worked
- Ideally have experience working with Valmet PLC experience.
- Day-to-day communication with the Lead C&I Commissioning Engineer.
- Report accidents and near misses and participate in investigations
- Experience working within the Power Industry (Waste to Energy desirable) as an C&I Commissioning Technician
