LV Switchgear Test & Installation Engineer
Days - Mon/ Friday
up to 15.45ph (Dependant on experience)
39 Standard Hours (Overtime availiability)

We are looking for a motivated LV Switchgear Test & Installation Engineer to join a market leading company in their respective field. Reporting directly to the engineering manager you will be a key member in ensuring the testing and installation of switchgears. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description


Perform comprehensive electrical testing on LV switchboards, including insulation resistance (IR) testing, flash testing, functional testing, and verification of wiring against schematics.
Carry out continuity testing of cabling installed in modular substations.
Conduct live operations testing of auxiliary systems in modular substations (e.g., lighting, heating, control systems).
Prepare detailed test reports and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Attend client sites nationwide to install new LV switchboards and modular substations.
Undertake modifications to existing equipment on site as required.
