SHEQ Coordinator for our client who are an international manufacturing and materials processing organisation, with multiple sites across the UK . This position will focus upon their manufacturing facilities in the North West of England (North Wales, Wrexham, Chester Liverpool, up to Greater Manchester), in which you will be responsible for all Health and Safety requirements across several manufacturing plants.

Within this position you will take responsibility for both the strategic development and pragmatic application of Health and Safety processes and systems, by influencing and engaging with key stakeholders across the business from operations and site leadership teams, through to production operative level.

Reporting to the National Operations Director, the role will be focused around the development of the company wide Health and Safety strategy ensuring legislative requirements are met, whilst developing H & S culture. Creating and making policy that is lived and breathed within the organisation through systematic and strategic cultural change, engaging with teams and key stakeholders to work collaboratively in developing pragmatic Health and Safety solutions, embedding a culture of ownership across the organisation, by winning hearts and minds.

Key requirements:
* Experience of managing and setting Health and Safety strategy within a heavy industrial manufacturing, or engineering and environment.
* The ability to switch between working strategically and tactically, at time providing hands on support in the delivery of all H & S activities, down to supporting sites with RAMS and SOPs
* Strong H&S knowledge, supported with Nebosh certificate qualification, or above, or equivalent in H & S
* Experience of developing, implementing and continuously improving management systems in line with ISO accreditation requirements - OHSAS 18001
* Experience of developing implementation and improvement plans for the whole suite of Health and Safety activities
* Multi-site experience is desirable in delivering Health and Safety policy and culture, but not essential
* Experience of working within an industrial, ideally heavy industry related environment
* Environmental HSE / EHS experience 14001 would be an advantage, but certainly not essential
* Full UK driving license
