About the Role:
Simply Education is seeking passionate and dedicated Qualified Science Teachers to join schools in the Chester area. This role offers the chance to inspire curiosity and scientific thinking in students, whether you're looking for a full-time or part-time position.

You will be responsible for delivering dynamic and engaging Science lessons, helping students build a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and inquiry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Inspiring Lessons: Plan and teach science lessons that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student understanding and provide feedback to guide progress.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a safe, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
  • Differentiation: Adapt your approach to meet the needs of students with SEN, EAL, and varying academic levels.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to share resources and strategies.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure all experiments and practical lessons are conducted safely and comply with school and lab safety guidelines.
  • Continued Development: Participate in CPD activities to remain up to date with scientific and pedagogical advancements.

Key Skills & Qualities:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, or Physics (or a combination).
  • Ability to make science accessible and exciting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to learning challenges.

Essential Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Science in line with the UK national curriculum.
  • A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Desirable:

  • Experience working with SEN students.
  • Experience with GCSE or A-Level Science delivery.
  • A passion for practical and investigative learning.
