About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teaching Assistant to join a SEND school in Chester. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs to help them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to individual students and small groups with SEND.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support pupils with personal care and emotional regulation, where necessary.

  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.

  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities.

About You

  • Experience working with children with SEND, preferably in a school setting.

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable.
