We're looking for a Design Structures Approver to join a fast-paced engineering team supporting wing component delivery. This role involves providing high-quality design support to manufacturing operations, ensuring product integrity, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and approve design solutions for structural modifications and design queries.
- Ensure compliance with design, airworthiness, and safety standards.
- Act as a design approval signatory with recognised industry delegation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Mentor engineering team members and support skills development.
- Drive process improvements and lessons learned initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including Configuration Management, Chief Engineers, and Programme Teams.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in structural design engineering.
- Recognised design signatory status (Design Approval Delegation).
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Ability to simplify complex technical issues and communicate effectively.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Working Arrangements:
- Role based in Broughton (preferred) or Filton.
- Hybrid working available with a minimum of 60% onsite presence.
