Messaging Engineer

Are you an experienced Messaging Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact? Our client is seeking a skilled professional to maintain and support their enterprise Messaging and Collaboration infrastructure within a large-scale, multi-site, and multi-domain environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Support: Maintain and support Messaging and Collaboration applications including MS Outlook, SharePoint, WebEx, Lync/Skype, and Group Chat. Ensure seamless integration of email with mobile devices and unified communication technologies.
  • User Account Administration: Administer user accounts within the enterprise. This includes creating user IDs, processing username changes, managing group lists, and removing terminated user accounts while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Assume the role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) in resolving complex technical issues. Lead initiatives that require advanced troubleshooting and provide solutions that enhance system performance.
  • Collaboration with Developers: Consult with application developers to assess the impact of various applications and coordinate efforts to deploy global enterprise solutions. This includes testing, documentation, and implementation activities
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise to internal IT groups. Offer feedback and recommendations to management aimed at optimising service levels and overall environment efficiency.
  • Security Management: Protect the messaging environment's security by administering access control lists, implementing security measures, and certifying external organisations.
  • Training and Development: Deliver training to users, junior technicians, and other IT personnel, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge to utilise the messaging tools effectively.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, SharePoint administration, WebEx, Skype for Business, MS One Drive, and MS Teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell and current Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong focus on quality customer service.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and manage multiple tasks effectively.
