Morson are working with he leading Aerospace Manufacturer who are looking for an Industrial Engineer with experience in assembly to join the team at the site near Chester.

Job Requirements

  • Deployment and support of Drilling & Fastening equipment (Semi-Automated and manual).
  • Defining new equipment and developing new drilling and fastening assembly processes.
  • Project managing and providing technical support to existing machinery.
  • Implementing continuous improvement projects into the wing manufacturing processes.
  • Interfacing with internal customers, support functions, transnational counterparts, and external suppliers.
  • Delivery of projects and support related to semi-automated and manual drilling and fastening equipment (ADU & ABE).
  • Developing, documenting, and supporting productivity improvements with ME communities and customers.
  • Management of Continuous Improvement and EHS Projects.
  • Providing Methods and Process technical support to the manufacturing operations department.
  • Managing major Capital investment projects and leading multi-functional teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Good technical background in shop floor processes, preferably drilling or fastening.
  • Good understanding of the wing build process.
  • Fluent English at negotiation level (commercial and technical).
  • Knowledge of Google office-based applications (Sheets, Slides, GMail, etc.).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of cross-functional working.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Well-organised, rigorous, and attention to detail.
  • Strong team player/leader with self-motivation.
  • Stakeholder management, organisational, and multitasking skills.
  • Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering is desirable.
