Graduate / Town PlannerLocation: Chester

An established and growing independent planning consultancy in Chester is looking to appoint a Graduate Planner or Town Planner to join their close-knit team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced, sector-leading professionals while contributing to impactful projects. You'll benefit from hands-on experience, mentorship, and genuine career development in a supportive, flexible working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking planning history reviews and initial research
  • Conducting site visits and writing site appraisals
  • Preparing and submitting small-scale planning applications
  • Monitoring application progress and liaising with stakeholders
  • Attending client meetings with senior team members
  • Supporting the team on planning strategy and delivery

About You:

  • Hold an RTPI-accredited planning degree or a closely related qualification
  • Ideally, have some previous experience in a planning role (internship or post-graduation)
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about delivering high-quality work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Eager to learn and grow within the planning profession
  • Full APC support will be provided for those working towards it
