Carbon60 is seeking a talented and experienced Project Engineer to join their client based in Broughton. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful industrialisation of SA Jigs and Tools Requests and supporting Projects, from creation and development to final acceptance and handover.

This position is a contract role running up to November 2026. Due to being a contract role we have both PAYE and Umbrella hourly rates available - INSIDE IR35.

  • 27.75 per hour PAYE
  • 37.12 per hour Umbrella


Key Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:

- Interpret aircraft design models and relay the information to the operations and operational support teams.
- Define the certification, re-certification, qualification, and re-qualification process, features, and schedule.
- Integrate industrial technologies in line with R&D.
- Collaborate with R&D to integrate requirements and consolidate the company's Industrial Vision.
- Design and/or specify the requested Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements.
- Contribute to CDT MFT for production investigations, utilising your tooling and metrology skill set.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

- Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines and activities, requiring technical skills and knowledge to make daily business decisions.
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and other Business Information Systems.
- Experienced knowledge of aircraft production, engineering methods, and procedures.
- Understanding of the relationships and interactions with other Manufacturing Engineering and Business functions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
