The Role

They’re looking for a dedicated and detail-orientated Dispenser to support their busy dispensary in Chester. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key member of their pharmacy team, ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medication and offering exceptional patient care under the supervision of a Pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense, label, and supply medicines accurately, following SOPs and regulations
  • Support safe handling and documentation of controlled drugs
  • Maintain up-to-date, secure patient medication records (PMR)
  • Prepare Monitored Dosage Systems (MDS) for patients with complex regimes
  • Provide clear and supportive advice on medicines and minor ailments
  • Assist with stock management, ordering, and storage of medicines
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control
  • Report and help address errors and near misses to promote learning
  • Engage in CPD activities to stay professionally up-to-date
  • Promote a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement

  • NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills (or working towards)

  • Good IT skills and adaptability to digital systems

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services
  • Previous pharmacy experience in community, hospital, or homecare settings
  • Familiarity with PMR systems (e.g., ProScript)
  • Involvement in health promotion or public health campaigns
  • Experience with innovative pharmacy services or digital models
  • Multilingual abilities
