Accountants Assistant (Temporary Contract)

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm
Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in the world of finance? Our client, a leading global financial institution, is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Accountants Assistant to join their dynamic team in Chester!
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an accounting degree or relevant accounts payable experience to dive into the world of international finance. You'll report directly to the Operations Manager of International Accounts Payable and gain exposure to 18 countries across the EMEA region.

Your Role:
As an Accountants Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the Accounts Payable process. Your main duties will include:
- Document preparation and processing of invoices using Ariba and Oracle AP
- Daily reconciliation of received invoices
- Providing top-notch customer service via email and phone inquiries
- categorising inquiries for analytical review to enhance training
- Updating the EMEA Website on processing procedures
- Collaborating with Business Unit managers and Finance teams to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Consulting with external and internal auditors
- Ensuring accurate billing and VAT treatment of invoices
- Timely scanning of travel and expense receipts for various EMEA countries
What We're Looking For:
- An accounting degree or relevant experience in accounts payable
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
- A background in high-volume processing
Working Environment:
Initially, this role will be office-based while you undergo training. Once you're up to speed, enjoy a hybrid working model: 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
