Interim Financial Controller Location: Chesterfield - Four days on-siteSalary: £55,000 - £60,000Length: 12 Month FTC 

Elevation Recruitment Group is excited to partner with a fantastic company to find an Interim Financial Controller. In this role, you'll report directly to the Finance Director, taking the lead on key financial responsibilities while supporting the business during a crucial period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete monthly management accounts and financial reports, including journal entries, asset management, and detailed variance analysis.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data, managing intercompany reconciliations and IFRS adjustments.
  • Maintain comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations for fixed assets, stock, debtors, creditors, and accruals.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, and assist with statutory accounts and corporation tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with UK and Irish tax regulations, reconciling payments with relevant authorities.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including the preparation of statutory accounts in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide essential financial data and support during audits.
  • Take the lead on ERP system implementation, ensuring smooth integration and driving process improvements.
  • Oversee cash management, including payment approvals, foreign exchange transactions, and related journal entries.

Key Skills:

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qual or QBE
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance.
  • Strong leadership in ERP system implementation and process improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
