Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting:

We are looking for a Plater for a permanent position based with our client in Chesterfield

Immediate start available (Subject to interview process)

Rate of pay is 17.00 per hour for basic hours

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 6am - 4.30pm (4 day working week)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fabrication and development on bespoke steel fabrications in a heavy engineering environment. Ie Bridges, staircases, gantries. (Road & Rail)
• Using varying workshop tools, plant and machinery.
• Working from engineering drawings & specifications.
• Expert level of building parts/assemblies to engineering drawings.
• Welding to a high quality.
• Measuring and marking out plate and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling.
• Adherence to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed:

• Confident plater or fabricator
• Ideally apprentice trained or relevant qualifications
• Confident MIG Welder
• Experience operating fabrication machinery
• Must have worked within a heavy steel industry
• Confident working from engineering drawings from scratch

NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Fabrication and Welding or Plating would be expected.
