Parts Sales Advisor Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Parts Sales Advisor to join our clients dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling parts to customers, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the overall sales objectives of the company.
Parts Sales Advisor Benefits:
- Location: Chesterfield - fully site/office based
- Salary: 26,400 basic plus Commission structure
- Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.00 - 4.30 & Friday - 8.00 - 3.30

Parts Sales Advisor Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Customer Service:
- Act as the first point of contact for customers seeking parts for equipment.
- Provide expert advice and product information to customers, helping them identify the parts they need.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of parts.
- Order Management:
- Prepare and process sales orders, quotations, and invoices.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure accurate and timely dispatch of parts.
- Monitor and follow up on backorders and ensure customers are kept informed about their order status.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory levels and product availability.
- Work closely with the inventory team to manage stock levels and reorder parts as necessary.
- Identify slow-moving stock and suggest strategies to increase sales of these items.
- Sales Support:
- Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies and promotional activities.
- Provide feedback to the Parts Sales Manager on customer needs, market trends, and potential opportunities.
- Participate in sales meetings and contribute to the overall goals of the sales team.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Stay updated with the latest product information, technical specifications, and industry trends.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Parts Sales Advisor Criteria:
- Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in the automotive or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and understand technical product information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with CRM or ERP systems.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
