CNC Lathe Machinist – Operators & Setter

Starting Salary: £13.70 – £14.21 per hour

Location: Chesterfield, S44

Shifts: Full Time, Days & Afters

Generations People is recruiting for an exciting opportunity; we are currently looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operators to join our clients team based in the Chesterfield, S44 area.

They are a well-established engineering company, manufacturing metal parts for the aerospace sector.

The successful candidate will be from a mechanical engineering background being fully skilled in the operating of CNC machines with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities for the CNC Turner role:

Your duties will include:

• Operating CNC machines operating and setting machines
• Monitor the CNC machine operations to ensure proper functioning and adjust as necessary.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, using precision measuring instruments.

Essential Skills and Competences:

• Be organised and methodical with the ability to multi-task.
• Work cleanly, tidily and considerately of co-workers.
• Ensure consistent quality.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent time management.
• Experience and understanding of working in aerospace, would also be beneficial.

This is a temp to perm position starting on the agency.
