Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a growing SME based in Chesterfield to recruit a hands-on and experienced Finance Manager for a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled finance professional to step into a key role within a dynamic business during a period of change and growth.

The Role:Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations with a particular focus on the production of accurate and timely management accounts. This is a varied and business-critical role that requires strong technical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to support the wider team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts
Cash flow forecasting and cost control analysis
Budgeting and forecasting support, including developing financial models
Detailed variance analysis and financial reporting for senior management
Maintaining the fixed asset register
Oversight of AP/AR functions and daily transactional activity
Processing journals, VAT returns, and completing bank reconciliations

About You:We’re looking for a confident and capable finance professional who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a similar management accounting or finance manager role
A recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or QBE
Strong Excel skills, including experience with financial modelling and analysis
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to financial management
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
