Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Pre-Production Engineer on for a well-established manufacturing business based in Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation in a key role that bridges Engineering and Projects.
As the Pre-Production Engineer you will:
- Act as the vital link between the Engineering and Projects teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination across departments
- Attend and contribute to project meetings, facilitating seamless project handovers
- Take ownership of Sage Manufacturing systems, including generating and managing work orders in line with project timelines
- Create, update, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), working collaboratively with design, procurement, and production teams
- Participate in design reviews, offering input on manufacturability and improvements
- Assess the feasibility of manufacturing components, suggesting design modifications where needed
- Utilise historical product knowledge to support innovation and continuous improvement
- Drive cost reduction initiatives by analysing manufacturing methods and materials
To be considered for the Pre-Production Engineer role you will need:
- Proven experience in pre-production, manufacturing, or process engineering
- Strong understanding of various manufacturing methods and sub-contract processes
- High level of analytical ability and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proficiency in manufacturing software tools, with experience in Sage 200 and Sicon Manufacturing highly desirable
