Your new companyWorking for a leading Engineering Business in Chesterfield, you will be part of a thriving business who, due to growth opportunities, are keen to appoint into a new role Supply Chain Planner/ Operations position. This position will allow the successful candidate to play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of materials, equipment and technical documentation. The successful applicant will live locally to the Chesterfield area as the role is office-based (not hybrid) and would suit someone who is looking to manage the expediting and document control functions for the business. Your new roleDuties of the role will include;- Reporting to the Director providing full reports on supplier relationships- Monitor and expedite the delivery of long - lead time items, sock management and stock orders, materials and equipment for all projects- Build and coordinate with suppliers to track manufacturing progress and shipping schedules- Report on identified issues or risk to delays and escalate throughout the business with commercial and engineering teams- Maintain expediting logs and regular reports for internal stakeholders and clients- Coordinate with logistics and customs teams to ensure timely delivery to siteDocument control and operations-Manage the flow of engineering documentation and document registers-Manage vendor documentation-Technical document management- review, share and archive technical documents ( data, drawings and certificates)-Operational support for audits , compliance to IS0 9001 standards-Operational coordination with internal teams including engineering and sales What you'll need to succeedThe successful applicant will have recent and relevant experience across a similar roleExperience in Engineering or related sectorAvailable for work in the Chesterfield areaKnowledge of ERP systemExcellent communication skills and able to work to large project deadlinesKnowledge and experience of expediting and document control preferredWhat you'll get in returnPermanent job Excellent BenefitsSalary guide £35,000 - £37,000Full time 8.30 -5pmOffice based in ChesterfieldCompetitive Benefits available What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
