Production Operations Assistant - Temporary Role (Full-Time) / Holmewood, Chesterfield

£13.44 per hour

We are recruiting on behalf of a trusted client for a Production Operations Assistant to support a large-scale survey fulfilment project. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Role Overview:You will be working across both office and warehouse settings, helping to prepare and process survey mailings. Tasks include operating machinery, checking and assembling survey packs, sorting returned post, and supporting quality control processes. All work is supervised by permanent staff, and full training is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor production machinery
  • Assemble and check survey materials (letters, questionnaires, envelopes)
  • Sort and scan returned mail
  • Maintain quality standards and follow procedures
  • Collaborate with team members and report issues as needed

Shift Details:

  • Standard hours: 09:00-17:00 (Monday to Friday)
  • Peak periods: Rotating shifts (07:00-15:00 and 15:00-23:00)
  • Weekend shifts required during busy phases (typically 5-6 hours)
  • Flexibility is essential; some six-day weeks may be scheduled

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in warehouse, production, or manual handling environments preferred
  • Comfortable with physical work and being on your feet for extended periods
  • Positive attitude, reliable, and willing to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work at pace
  • Own transport is advantageous, especially for evening shift
  • A trial week will be used to assess suitability
