Projects - Maintenance Engineer - Engineer - Project Engineer

Monday - Friday (no shift work)

Our client is a global manufacturing business with multiple sites across the UK. Due to growth and a recent acquisition, our client is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their Projects team as a Project Engineer. Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering various improvement projects relating to the sites equipments and production output.

This role will be based at Chesterfield but occasional travel to suppliers & other sites will be included.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site projects from initiation to completion - projects include equipment upgrades
  • Manage all Capex Projects on-site
  • Handle contractor management, ensuring all Health & Safety procedures comply with company policies
  • Source cost-effective solutions and collaborate with OEMs/Suppliers for optimal return on investment
  • Complete site handover protocols, and update site folders
  • Plan, coordinate, and communicate effectively with departments across all sites

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified engineer with a decisive and proactive approach
  • Enjoys working on projects and has the ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • CAD knowledge
