An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialist organisation focusing in Cleantech working on exclusive projects across the UK. This organisation is a market leader and are looking for support across their workshops in their design team to work on Drilling rigs. This opportunity is perfect for someone who is early on in their career looking to grow and develop their skillset whilst working closely with an experienced engineer.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will have great communication skills and be a team player due to working in a very cohesive environment. If you are looking to work within a unique industry and build your skills to the max, this is the role for you!

Your Role as a Mechanical Design Engineer will Include:

* Deliver accurate 3D/2D models, perform design calculations and FEA, and drive continuous improvement of equipment
* Work closely with operations teams and suppliers to ensure equipment is practical, safe, and efficient for manufacture and use
* Create new slope stabilisation drilling equipment and optimise existing designs using SolidWorks, from concept to manufacturable solutions

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will need:

* Mechanical Engineering degree
* CAD experience
* Solidworks experience advantageous
