The Opportunity
A leading UK engineering company is seeking a Lead Electronics Engineer to head up a small but highly skilled team. Working at the forefront of technology for some of the world's most advanced manufacturers, you'll combine hands-on design work with leadership responsibilities-driving projects from concept through to production.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electronics design engineers
- Design schematics, PCB layouts, and assembly documentation
- Oversee testing, fault finding, and validation of electronic systems
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure practical, cost-effective solutions
- Manage projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to specification
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing or mentoring an engineering design team
- Strong expertise in analogue and digital PCB design (Altium preferred)
- Skilled in schematic creation, testing, and validation of electronic systems
- Experience with design for manufacture principles
- Organised, proactive, and able to communicate effectively across teams
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time and within budget
