The IT Procurement and Contracts Manager will work in the Digital & Technology department working closely with the internal Procurement team to ensure compliance with UK Public Sector procurement regulations. You will manage in excess of 100 contracts ( large & small) ensuring delivery within regulatory and wider statutory obligations and manage the end-to-end procurement of contracts..
In addition you will ensure best value and budget maximisation are achieved and processes / systems are embedded across the Digital & Technology service which result in a consistent and compliant approach being adopted.
This is a role based out of their Chesterfield office but will offer some home-working flexibility.
IT Procurement and Contracts Manager - Key Duties:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement of contracts within regulatory and statutory obligations
- Verify, modify and extend appropriate contracts
- Process review, support and guidance with follow up improvement plans for staff within the Digital & Technology team
- Implement corporate policies and procedures into commercial activity
- Collaboration with the central procurement team ensuring compliance with UK public sector procurement regulations
- Manage a wide variety of contracts, from single-item purchases to full data centre solutions
- Ensure successful management and reporting across the contract lifecycle in line with UK public sector procurement regulations
- Analysis of historic and future IT spend and engage with IT leaders to collectively agree a plan to work towards
- Understand social values and the business needs to enable them to effectively compete for contracts
IT Procurement and Contracts Manager - Skills required for the role:
- Knowledge and understanding of the key commercial processes across diverse areas
- Good understanding of Public Sector legislation and Public Contracts Regulation and associated legislation
- Knowledge of the procurement lifecycle, methodologies, and tender management
- Understanding of contract clauses, contract formation, contract management and compliance
- Well organised and able to manage conflicting priorities
- Exceptional telephone skills and able to communicate well verbally and written
- Self-motivated and able to adapt to a fast paced, changing environment
- Understanding of performance monitoring and change control coupled with risk assessment skills
- Ability to analyse data, interpret data and construct reports

The role offers a basic salary up to £35k
