Are you an experienced, confident, and passionate Social Worker? Derbyshire County Council is seeking a committed professional to join our Children and Families Social Work team at the Bolsover Family Support Centre.

This role focuses on all key areas of statutory children's social care, including Child in Need, Child Protection, Pre-Proceedings (PLO), and Court Work. It's ideal for someone who thrives in both autonomous work and collaborative team environments and is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for children and families.

?? Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex caseloads involving Child in Need, Child Protection, PLO, and Care Proceedings
  • Undertake detailed assessments and formulate effective intervention and safety plans
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings
  • Work in close partnership with families, professionals, and service providers
  • Ensure timely progression of cases and deliver high-quality written reports
  • Promote positive and sustainable outcomes for children and young people

�? What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified Children's Social Worker with at least 3 years post-qualification experience in a Local Authority setting
  • Confident in managing all aspects of statutory children's social care work
  • Skilled in court processes, including evidence preparation and court appearances
  • A strong team player who can also work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Deep understanding of safeguarding legislation, frameworks, and best practices
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and relationship-building skills
