Based just outside Chichester, this role is office-based and ideal for someone who enjoys routine, takes pride in accuracy and wants to be part of a business that values sustainability and community.You’ll work closely with a hands-on and supportive Finance Manager, gaining exposure to a wide range of tasks across the month-end process. The company is growing steadily and offers the opportunity to make the role your own.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations
  • Managing and reconciling card transactions
  • Raising and posting purchase ledger invoices
  • Preparing accruals and prepayments to trial balance
  • Monitoring the finance inbox and assisting with ad hoc tasks
  • Supporting credit control and resolving queries
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Accountant / Senior Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant / Finance Administrator / Accounts Officer / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk
  • To be methodical, well-organised and proactive
  • Confidence using Excel (including VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with finance systems such as SAP
