Due to a busy project pipeline, my client is on the lookout for a talented Building Physics / Sustainability Engineer to join their friendly, dynamic team.

Who are they

They are an established M&E services design consultancy based in West Sussex. They specialise in low-carbon, sustainable engineering design for a wide range of clients, including high-end residential, local authority, education, healthcare, commercial, and industrial sectors. They pride ourselves on quality, innovation, and long-term client relationships.

What will you do

You’ll work on all aspects of building modelling and sustainable design, including:

  • IES VE modelling and calculations (SBEM, overheating analysis, energy modelling, carbon emission calculations)
  • Producing sustainability reports, pre-planning carbon assessments, and energy statements
  • Supporting sustainable design solutions for a variety of projects
  • Producing clear, accurate technical reports using outputs from IES calculations

What they’re looking for:

Essential:

  • Level 3 qualification (A Levels, B-Tech ONC, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Strong IES VE software knowledge
  • Understanding of sustainable building services design
  • Ability to produce technical reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Professional approach and good client-facing skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with other relevant software packages
  • Full UK driving licence
