Senior Civil Engineer Job Overview

  • Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient and sustainable engineering solutions.
  • Prepare and review detailed design calculations, technical reports, and specifications for a range of civil engineering works.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of site investigations and assessments.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and support their professional development.
  • Conduct site visits and attend project meetings to monitor progress and resolve any technical issues.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure that all aspects of the project are delivered in accordance with client expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and health and safety requirements.


Senior Civil Engineer Job Requirements

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards .
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in infrastructure, drainage, highways, and site development.
  • Proven experience in project management, including overseeing budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Strong technical expertise in civil engineering design, with a working knowledge of relevant software tools.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
  • Knowledge of environmental sustainability and green infrastructure solutions.
  • Experience in managing a team and providing leadership within a project environment.
