Project Manager - M&E

We are seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to lead the mechanical and electrical services delivery for a £40m warehouse construction project in Chichester. You will oversee all M&E aspects, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This is a high-profile scheme requiring a proven track record in managing complex, large-scale M&E projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage M&E installations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical power, lighting, and fire systems.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource plans for M&E works.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as industry standards
  • Conduct site surveys, interpret technical specifications, and manage procurement of M&E materials and equipment.
  • Mitigate risks, resolve technical issues, and maintain high-quality standards across all M&E deliverables.
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Who would be a good fit?

  • Experience: 5 years as an M&E Project Manager, with proven success delivering projects valued at £40m or higher, ideally in warehouse, industrial, or commercial sectors, ideally.
  • Qualifications: Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent). Professional certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, or CSCS Black Card) are desirable.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of M&E systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical distribution, fire suppression). Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asta Powerproject).
  • Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines. Comfortable working on-site and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
