Senior Full Stack Software Developer

We focus on lead generation and develop our own products and tools to provide a first-rate user experience and allow us to process over 100,000 enquiries each month. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack Software Developer to join our dynamic team. As our ideal candidate you will possess expertise in Symfony/Core PHP, ReactJS or other JavaScript frameworks, MySQL, and New Relic. You should be comfortable working on both support tasks and new projects, demonstrating versatility and adaptability in their approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using Symfony/Core PHP and ReactJS or other JavaScript frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy new features and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure the stability and performance of existing applications.
• Optimise application performance through code refactoring, database tuning, and other optimisation techniques.
• Utilise monitoring tools such as New Relic, to identify performance bottlenecks and proactively address issues.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Take ownership of tasks and projects, demonstrating a proactive and self-motivated attitude towards achieving goals.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of web security principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Symfony/Core PHP to a high level.
• Strong expertise in ReactJS or other JavaScript frameworks.
• Solid understanding of MySQL database management.
• Experience with New Relic or similar monitoring tools.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks as needed.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Salary bracket £48k to £68k dependent upon experience.

This is a hybrid working model based in West Sussex.
