Interaction Recruitment are hiring a Teaching Assistant to work with one of the most delightful SEN Schools in Chichester.

The school are looking for a Teaching Assistants to work full-time on a long-term basis with the opportunity to go permanent.

The roles require the Teaching Assistant to be flexible, open-minded and willing to step into different classrooms and be that extra pair of hands in school.

The SEN school look for Teaching Staff that are compassionate, empathetic and understanding. They look for the right type of character and not always the most relevant experience on paper.

The SEN school are a fantastic school with outstanding facilities. A truly supportive group with a great outlook and culture. The support for students is fantastic and Creative Teachers have established a strong working relationship with them.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing educational activities

- Provide individualized attention and support to students

- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members

- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment

- Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies

- Support students with daily tasks, including personal care if needed

- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly

- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behaviour

Qualifications:

- Experience working with children in the UK, preferably in an educational or childcare setting

- Knowledge of special education principles and practices is a plus

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment
