Teaching Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with SEND. The role involves supporting learning, wellbeing, and independence across the school day.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups across a range of activities
• Assist with planning and preparing resources for lessons
• Promote physical and emotional wellbeing under the guidance of teaching staff
• Help pupils develop independence and self-help skills
• Support therapy programmes and personal care routines
• Supervise pupils during break and lunch times, encouraging positive play and social interaction
• Create a positive learning environment through classroom organisation and displays
• Use IT to support learning and maintain accurate records

This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is caring, patient, and committed to inclusive education.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

• Has experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting
• Demonstrates empathy, patience, and a sense of humour
• Has a good standard of written and spoken English
• Understands the varied needs of children with SEND
• Is confident using behaviour management techniques
• Is a Teaching Assistant who works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
• Is flexible, reliable, and committed to safeguarding and equality
