An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Accountant to join a well-established and reputable accountancy firm based in Chichester, West Sussex on a full time, permanent basis. The role would suit an ACA or ACCA Qualified Senior Accountant with solid experience managing their own portfolio of clients. It is important that the Client Accountant will have a few years PQE with ACA or ACCA. The ACA or ACCA qualified Client Accountant will have ambitions to grow the company and be looking for long term realistic career progression.

Portfolio Manager Job Overview

  • Preparation and review of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, HNWI, OMB's limited companies and charities.
  • Finalising year and accounts, monthly bookkeeping and quarterly VAT returns.
  • Preparation of income tax and corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Overseeing and supporting a team of more junior accounts staff who will assist you to complete the more transactional tasks and prepare work for you to review and submit.
  • This is a busy and fast paced practice who work with a wide variety of local clients.


Portfolio Manager Job Requirements

  • Confident, ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with PQE
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • ACA /ACCA qualified (ideally 3 years minimum experience)
  • Managing a growing portfolio of high-net-worth clients
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for the company and clientele
  • Experience of computer software including IRIS, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
  • Must be a driver with your own vehicle


Portfolio Manager Salary & Benefits

  • £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
  • Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week - 9am to 5.30pm, 1 hour lunch)
  • 4 days onsite and 1 day home based (once passed probation)
  • Parking on site
  • Holiday Scheme - Buy an extra 5 days or sell up to 5 days back each company holiday year.
