What will the Accounts Senior role involve?
- Managing a portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses and individuals
- Preparing statutory accounts for companies, partnerships, LLPs and sole traders
- Preparing corporation, partnership, and personal tax returns
- Reviewing VAT returns and working with online accounting packages
- Supervising, training and reviewing work of semi-seniors and assistants
- Liaising with HMRC and attending client meetings
- Supporting the development of the team and assisting with advisory projects
Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Senior vacancy:
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) or final stage studier
- Recent UK accountancy practice experience
- Strong technical grounding in accounts and tax compliance
- Previous supervisory or mentoring experience would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues
- Confident using MS Office and cloud-based accounting packages such as Xero and QuickBooks
