Job Opportunity: SEN Learning Support Assistants (x2) - Primary School, Chichester

A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Chichester is seeking two dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to join their team. These roles are to start ASAP for an initial 6-week placement, with the potential for extension following review.

Location: Chichester
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 15:30pm
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Temporary (initial 6 weeks, placement to be reviewed)



About the Role:

You will be supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including complex learning and behavioural needs. Working closely with class teachers and the SEN team, you'll help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment tailored to individual pupils.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support
  • Assist with learning activities and classroom routines
  • Support pupils' emotional and social development
  • Encourage independence and positive behaviour
  • Help maintain a safe and supportive learning space
  • Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to pupil progress reports


Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (preferred)
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
