Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Chichester
Salary: 40,000-42,000 DOE
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Pattern: Days (Mon-Fri)

Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturer within the manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving all site machinery to ensure production efficiency, reliability, and safety. You will be working within a proactive maintenance environment, undertaking both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across a range of mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns in a timely manner.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on production equipment.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with equipment upgrades and installations.

  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise performance.

  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety standards and company procedures.



The Candidate

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Time-served or qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Proven experience in a multiskilled maintenance role within a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.

  • Experience working with PLCs, motors, conveyors, pneumatics, and hydraulics (desirable).

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
